Architectural concept approved by the client and aligned to the project brief. For fire engineering, it includes Fire Safety Technical Note and Fire Statement
GBFE typical scope of works for Stage 2 Fire Safety Technical Note is a high level overview of the following topics to address The Building Regulations:
B1 Means of warning and escape
B2 Internal fire spread (Linings)
B3 Internal fire spread (Structure)
B4 External fire spread, and
B5 Access and facilities for the fire service
GBFE typical scope of works for Fire Statement includes:
1. Fire Statement form. For London projects, it is in accordance with Policy D12(A) of the London Plan 2021.
2. Produce Fire Safety Technical Note based on fire engineered solutions. Note, it will cover high level B1-B5 topics, as described above.
* The number of Design reviews are based on the project and are subject to discussions with the client.
** The Technical Note will be reviewed externally by a qualified fire engineer.
*** Design team/statutory authority meetings are allowed for based on the project.
